1. Food, Drinks and Fireworks

With the bald eagle serving as an American emblem, Eagles Landing Country Club is the perfect place to celebrate Independence Day. The Eagles Landing Country Club Fireworks Extravaganza will include drinks, an “All-American Buffet,” and activities for the kids. Adult wristbands for the event are $20 and children’s wristbands (12 and under) are $10.
2. Mountaintop View of Fireworks
July 3-4*, 8:00 p.m.
This land was made for you and me, so hike it! How does a view of Stone Mountain and Atlanta’s Independence Day celebrations atop Panola Mountain in Stockbridge, Georgia sound? If you enjoy the outdoors, beautiful sunsets, fireworks and s’mores then the Fireworks Hike is just for you. Contact Panola Mountain State Park at (770) 389-7801 to reserve a spot for hikers ages 8 and older.

3. Fireworks and Family Time
July 4, 12:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
What’s more family-friendly than an event called Family Fest? This new Fourth of July celebration is taking place at Warren Holder Park in Locust Grove, Georgia. You and your loved ones can look forward to live music, a kids zone, water zone, VIP area & over 100 vendors! Event admission is free while parking is $5. 4. Fireworks Show at Friday Night Drags
July 4, 6:30 p.m.
One of the largest fireworks shows in Georgia, the Papa John’s Firework Extravaganza will take place during a special Wednesday edition of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Friday Night Drags, a weekly street-style drag racing competition that includes racers in 18 divisions. Admission to the show is only $10.00 and free for children age 5 and under. Wondering where the best view of the fireworks display will be? They will be completely viewable from the grandstands and the infield!
5. A Patriotic Parade
July 4, 9:00 a.m.
Take part in the stars and stripes-filled celebration that is the City of Hampton Fourth of July Parade. Join others in watching the parade, which includes floats, children and dogs, move through Downtown Hampton. It’s a simple yet fun tradition that provides the entire family with entertainment.
6. Fourth of July on the Farm
Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Owned by the Carter family since 1938, Southern Belle Farm was recently selected as one of the 10 Great Pick-Your-Own Farms in the US by USA Today. That’s an exciting way to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday Stop by the farm Wednesday, July 4 to visit the market full of products ranging from beef, fresh veggies and fruit to chocolates and fresh-baked desserts. Try the homemade peach ice cream or pair blueberry cobbler with a combination of homemade strawberry and vanilla ice cream for a patriotic dessert selection. Don’t forget to stop by the petting zoo for even more fun with the kids!
7. Celebrate the History of People

A conversation with a veteran has the ability to place holidays such as the Fourth of July into perspective. A staff of veterans volunteers their time to Heritage Park Veterans Museum, leading tours and sharing stories of the servicemen and women featured in the museum along with the many pieces on the display.
