Hampton’s story doesn’t stop with speed and flight – history runs just as deep. Located within the city, Nash Farm Park is one of Georgia’s most intact and meticulously preserved Civil War sites. The park was the setting of the Battle of Nash Farm in July 1864, one of the largest cavalry raids in the state during the Atlanta Campaign. Today, visitors can explore open fields, wooded landscapes, and original land contours that closely mirror how the area appeared during the war, offering a powerful glimpse into the past.
