🐿️📜 We’re in the home stretch! Independence Day is just two days away, which means this is Nuthaniel’s final History Lesson. Better make it a good one. ✨

One thing I’ve learned? Henry County is full of stories that don’t always make the headlines. From film locations to rising athletes and entertainers to products used around the world, there’s a lot more happening here than most people realize. Sometimes the coolest parts of a place are hidden just beneath the surface.

🐿️📜 It’s time for another History Lesson with Nuthaniel, and this week we’re headed to Stockbridge - Henry County’s largest and most diverse city!

Founded in 1829 then relocating about a mile south 50 years later, Stockbridge has long been a place of progress and community. From hosting Daddy King’s first sermon to the legacy of Carrie Mae Hambrick, who fed anyone in need regardless of race, the city’s history is filled with stories of compassion and connection. ❤

Today, Stockbridge continues to blend culture, history, and natural beauty - from its vibrant new amphitheater to scenic evening hikes. And while some pieces of its past remain a mystery (such as the Statue of Liberty replica in Municipal Park), one thing is certain: Stockbridge has a story worth exploring.
