If the Quaker State 400 is going to be your first time experiencing a NASCAR race, here are a few things to know to get the most out of your experience at EchoPark Speedway.
Tickets
Get your tickets as early as you can. Many people have season tickets and the best seats can go fast. You can either purchase your ticket online at or call 770-946-4211 and speak directly to a representative who can help you find the best tickets for your group’s needs. If you want to go to the ticket office in person, you can just mosey over to the gift shop located right next door to purchase your EchoPark Speedway swag or that of your favorite driver.
Discounted tickets are available for college students, government employees (military personnel, first responders, law enforcement, teachers, and more), and children under the age of 12 with the purchase of an adult ticket. These tickets can be purchased the same way as grandstand tickets with verification through ID.me or GOVX.
The NASCAR Cup qualifying event, Focused Health 250, occurs Saturday night. You can attend either just the qualifying event, the main event on Sunday, or purchase a weekend pass to attend all.
When choosing your seats, keep in mind that the closer you are to the track, the louder and more immersive the experience will be. Earplugs or other hearing protection are recommended, especially for children.
Upgrades
Reserve a Racing Electronic Scanner and hear uncensored audio between the drivers and their crew. Each scanner rental comes with one RE race scanner, headsets (choose one or two), batteries, and a clear carrying tote.
Purchase a Pre-Race Track Pass to give you access before the gates are open to the general public. With this pass, you can step on the actual racing surface, sign the start/finish line (be sure to bring a Sharpie), see victory lane, and get stage-front access for driver introductions before the green flag waves!
A memorable upgrade for that someone special, Speedway Children’s Charity gives you the opportunity to create a personalized message to be shown on the big screen. Whether you want a happy birthday wish, welcome greeting, or proposal, you can have your message displayed on the Race Day Recognition Board during Saturday or Sunday’s races.
Enthusiasts must already have race weekend ticket to purchase these experiences.
See & Do
A NASCAR race, especially one at EchoPark Speedway is so much more than just the race itself. Race weekend is truly a full weekend full of fun, entertainment, and, of course, motor sports.
Early arrivers can join in on the Pedal Power Bike Ride and take a lap around the track on Friday afternoon before joining the Camper Appreciation Party on Friday evening. Guests can enjoy free hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, and Coca-Cola products (while supplies last) in addition to hot dog eating contests, fan giveaways, live music, driver appearences, and more alongside their fellow campers.
The Fan Zone opens Saturday morning, so attendees can enjoy the various vendors and experiences laid out for them. The fun continues with a lively Peach Pit Party on Saturday night complete with live music, mechanical bulls, corn hole, and more, plus a pre-race concert by Tim Dugger at the Fan Zone on Sunday. Throughout the weekend, fans can enjoy interactive experiences like the Sea Lion Splash show, free axe throwing with American Axes, demonstrations by the Canine Stars, and appearences from AmirrorCAN MAN – making it a high-energy mix of racing and family entertainment for all ages. Get on the Track
If driving your car or speeding around on the famed EchoPark Speedway track is on your bucket list, there are ways to make the dream a reality.
Kick off the Quaker State 400 race weekend with Laps for Charity, a fan-favorite experience that lets you drive your own vehicle around the iconic EchoPark Speedway track. Participants can choose a three-lap group session for $60 or a limited five-lap single-car VIP session for $150, each led by an official speedway vehicle. Rather have someone else drive? For $125 per person, participants will take three thrilling laps around the historic track in an official speedway promotional vehicle for Hot Laps.
All proceeds benefit Speedway Children’s Charity, helping support children in need throughout the community.
Food and Drinks
One of the truly unique and wonderful things about NASCAR is the ability to bring in your own cooler. As long as it is a soft-sided cooler smaller than 14″x14″x14″ with no glass inside, you are free to bring in your own beverages and snacks. Guests are also allowed to bring up to two bags (but only one cooler), as long as they do not exceed 18″x18″x14″.
While you will certainly find the traditional burgers and hotdogs at the concession stands, you can also find other delicious options from the various food vendors set up in the concourse.
Adults seeking adult beverages and a great spot to watch the race should check out Bootleggers. The bar offers covered seating, fans, access to charging stations, TVs showing the race and even easy rail side viewing of the race. Access to this area is included with all grandstand tickets.
Keep in mind that all concessions within the facility are cashless.
Parking
Parking is free in the numerous grass lots. You enter and exit the same way, so be sure to look at the maps before deciding where to park.
Camping & Accommodations
EchoPark Speedway campgrounds can accommodate motorhomes, RVs, and tents within various campgrounds on property. They offer bath houses with tankless water heaters, so there is no fear of not having all the hot water you could want. For guests wanting to camp with their family, EchoPark Speedway offers a family campground with set quiet hours.
For guests seeking hotel accommodations, Henry County has more than 30 hotels and even a bed and breakfast.
