Red, white, rosé, or bubbly, sometimes the perfect way to end a day of exploring is with a good meal and a glass of wine. Fortunately, Henry County has plenty of places to raise a glass.

Whether you prefer pairing a bold red with Italian favorites, sipping a chilled white alongside seafood, or simply catching up with friends over a glass, these local restaurants make it easy to wine down in Henry County.

15th Street Pizza & Pub

Pizza and wine are always a good pairing, and 15th Street Pizza & Pub offers plenty of both. A Henry County favorite for decades, the locally owned restaurant is best known for its award-winning pizzas, creative specialties, wings, calzones, and welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.

While craft beer may get plenty of attention here, wine lovers should not overlook the rotating wine selection. Grab a glass to accompany a specialty pizza, settle onto the dog-friendly patio when the weather cooperates, and enjoy one of Henry County’s longtime local favorites.

81 North Kitchen and Tap

A sports bar can be a wine spot, too. 81 North Kitchen and Tap combines the casual energy of a neighborhood hangout with a menu that goes beyond typical game-day fare.

Along with wings, burgers, and shareable appetizers, guests can find heartier dishes like salmon, meatloaf, and shrimp and grits. Add a glass of wine, and this McDonough restaurant works just as well for a casual date night or dinner with friends as it does for watching the big game.

Black Rose Cafe & Bar

Coffee in the morning and wine later in the day? Black Rose Café & Bar can do both. Located in Locust Grove, this cozy café combines a coffeehouse atmosphere with authentic Mexican flavors and a full bar.

Enjoy a glass of wine alongside dinner, or make Black Rose a relaxed stop for drinks with friends. If wine is not everyone’s beverage of choice, the café’s margaritas and other handcrafted cocktails give the rest of the table plenty of options, too.

Burger Theory

Located inside the Holiday Inn & Suites in Stockbridge, Burger Theory makes it easy for travelers to enjoy dinner and drinks without venturing far from their hotel.

Signature and build-your-own burgers are at the center of the menu, alongside appetizers, desserts, and a selection of beverages from the bar. Order a glass of wine, customize a burger, and settle in for an easygoing evening. You certainly do not need to be a hotel guest to stop by and enjoy it.

Culturistic Kitchen

For a livelier night out, Culturistic Kitchen pairs food and drinks with an energetic atmosphere. The McDonough restaurant brings together Southern comfort and globally inspired flavors, with dishes ranging from salmon bites and wings to seafood and hearty entrées.

Wine is just one part of the beverage lineup, which also includes cocktails and mimosas. With music and a nightlife-inspired atmosphere adding to the experience, Culturistic Kitchen is a wine-down destination for visitors who are not quite ready for the night to wind down.

Davinci’s NY Style Pizza

For another classic wine pairing, head to Davinci’s NY Style Pizza. The casual McDonough restaurant serves New York-style pizza alongside homemade Italian favorites, wings, sandwiches, salads, and more.

A glass of wine can turn pizza night into something a little more leisurely. Order a pie for the table, choose your favorite wine, and enjoy a laid-back meal that proves a great wine pairing does not have to be fancy.

Downtown Social Restaurant & Bar

The name says it all. Downtown Social Restaurant & Bar in historic downtown Stockbridge is designed for gathering with friends, grabbing a bite, and staying awhile.

Pair a glass of wine with casual bar-and-grill favorites while enjoying the restaurant’s social atmosphere. Entertainment varies, with activities such as karaoke, pool, and other special events giving visitors even more reason to make an evening of their stop in downtown Stockbridge.

Serafino’s Italian Bistro

For a more traditional wine-and-dine experience, Serafino’s Italian Bistro is an easy choice. The Stockbridge restaurant pairs a sizable wine selection with classic Italian cuisine, seafood, pasta, and rich entrées.

The intimate setting makes Serafino’s especially fitting for date night, an anniversary dinner, or an evening when the occasion calls for something a little more special. Choose a bottle for the table, order an Italian favorite, and settle in for a leisurely meal.

Sweet Auburn BBQ

Wine and barbecue may not be the first pairing that comes to mind, but Sweet Auburn BBQ makes a convincing case for giving it a try. The McDonough restaurant puts its own spin on Southern barbecue by incorporating Asian-inspired flavors into smoked meats and creative appetizers.

Think brisket, barbecue, pimento cheese wontons, and other bold flavors alongside a glass of your favorite wine. It is an unexpected combination and a fitting example of the variety found throughout Henry County’s dining scene.

The Italian Oven

Wine feels right at home on the table at The Italian Oven in Stockbridge. The full-service Italian restaurant serves more than 20 pasta dishes alongside wood-fired pizzas, seafood, calzones, strombolis, and classic Italian entrées.

Some dishes even incorporate wine into the flavors, including Marsala entrées and baby clams served with a white wine sauce. With a full bar at the Stockbridge location, guests can order a glass to complement their meal and make dinner feel like an occasion, even when it is simply a weeknight.

Vía 14 Restaurant

In downtown Hampton, Vía 14 Restaurant brings several culinary influences together under one roof. The locally owned restaurant’s menu spans Mexican, Italian, and American favorites, making it a convenient choice when everyone at the table is craving something different.

Enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, then spend a little extra time exploring Hampton’s charming downtown. With its relaxed atmosphere and wide-ranging menu, Vía 14 makes an easy addition to a day of exploring the city.
