Hampton is a small town with big adventures. Fly high in a military helicopter or drink up in Camp Brewing Company. A day in Hampton will leave you with tons of photos and some serious bragging rights.
Rev Your Engine at the Atlanta Motor Speedway
Just 2.5 miles from downtown Hampton lies the largest entertainment facility in the Georgia. Track tours of Atlanta Motor Speedway are available Monday – Friday and include a tour of the facility and three laps in the Speedway van around the famous 1.54-mile track. Tours originate from the gift shop. Speed junkies should watch Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Driving School calendar for the chance to ride in or even drive an actual NASCAR car.

Check “Helicopter Ride” off your Bucket List
Next to the Speedway sits a different type of “ride of a lifetime.” The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation and Flying Museum is a non-profit organization whose mission is to keep army aviation’s history alive. They do this through static displays in their hangar, located at the Atlanta South Regional Airport, and at events as well as through their ride program and air show participation. Gather five friends and book a ride in one of the UH-1 Huey helicopters or go big with the “bucket list” ride in a AH-1 Cobra helicopter. Both ride programs require advanced booking.
