Take Flight with the Henry County RC Club

Observe radio controlled aircraft taking flight and even take part in piloting them with members of the Henry County RC Club. Those interested in returning and flying aircraft on an ongoing basis can inquire about gaining Academy of Model Aeronautics certification in order to become a member of the club.

The RC Club typically flies radio controlled aircrafts during Tuesday and Thursday mornings. If those days don’t work with your schedule, a fun alternative to this activity is a tour of the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation. A staff of volunteer veterans give free tours of the hangar filled with aircraft that were used in actual combat. You can even schedule rides in the aircraft (prices vary)!
