Visit Henry County, GA commissioned multi-talented local artist Vele Keyta Redding to design a series of four coloring sheets based on local tourist attractions. Choose to add your own spin to some Southern Belle Farm peaches or add some color to a helicopter from Army Aviation Heritage Foundation a new paint job. Bring one of Noah’s Ark’s tigers to life with crayons or add details to the historic Floyd Chapel where Martin Luther King, Sr. preached his first sermon. In addition to a fact about the featured location, each coloring sheet also includes a different activity on the back – from a secret code breaking activity to a cross word puzzle. Artist Vele Keyta Redding is relatively new to illustration but has been creating art in some form since she was six years old. In addition to Faceries©, her digitally-illustrated collection of women’s faces, she also owns a publishing company and a company that designs ladies’ jeans. She holds a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications and an MBA in International Business. During her journalism career she had the opportunity to interview such people as Maya Angelou and Pope John Paul II. Her current illustrations can be seen online at faceries.com.
