Highlights include the 4-H Dog Club’s Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest, a vendor market, scavenger hunts, a mummy wrap game, pet adoptions, $10 microchips and vaccinations, and a mini-agility course. Furry friends can compete in categories like “Most Creative” and “Best Couple,” making this a paw-sitively fun way to celebrate fall.
“Witch” Way Is The Candy?
Mark your calendars for Friday, October 24, 2025, and join the City of Locust Grove for the return of the spookiest event of the season — Trunk or Treat & Haunted Hayride! From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Locust Grove City Hall, families can enjoy creatively decorated trunks filled with treats, a thrilling haunted hayride through the cemetery, delicious bites from local food trucks, and unique offerings from family-friendly vendors. Come in your Halloween best and make memories with the whole community — admission is free for all ages!
The fun continues on Saturday, October 25, at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove with the inaugural Beary Scary Trunk or Treat from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes, decorate trunks, and share candy in a festive, family-friendly environment. Attendees can also bring pumpkins to decorate, with prizes awarded for the best entries.
Then, on Sunday, October 26, get ready for Jeepers Creepers, hosted by the Twisted Sisters Jeep Club and Sweet Auburn BBQ in McDonough from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This Halloween-themed trunk-or-treat benefits A Friend’s House, a local nonprofit supporting children in crisis. Enjoy a spooky Jeep showcase, costume contests for adults and kids, trick-or-treating, games, and a cozy s’mores and cocoa station.
Family-Friendly Festivities Throughout the County
ConversationStarters Bookstore invites families to a fun-filled Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 25, at 2:00 PM in Locust Grove, GA. Guests can enjoy a lively afternoon of seasonal fun featuring a costume competition, family games, crafting activities, and a bounce house for kids. With something for everyone to enjoy, it’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with the community.
The Henry County Trunk or Treat returns on Thursday, October 30, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at EchoPark Speedway in Hampton. Kids can safely trick-or-treat from creatively decorated car trunks while enjoying games, music, and costume contests. Admission is free and open to the public.
On Friday, October 31, the Hampton Business & Merchants Association transforms East Main Street into a trick-or-treating haven for Halloween in Hampton from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Local businesses and community partners hand out candy to costumed visitors, providing a safe and festive way for kids to celebrate.
At the same time, Tanger Outlets in Locust Grove hosts their annual Halloween Boo Bash from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Children 12 and under can pick up a free trick-or-treat bag near Brooks Brothers filled with candy, snacks, and goodies. The event also features face painters, balloon twisters, costume contests, and meet-and-greets with the Salem Sisters characters.

No fall roundup is complete without a visit to Southern Belle Farm in McDonough. From September 20 to November 2, 2025, the farm offers over 20 outdoor attractions on the weekend, including a 4-acre corn maze, pig races, hayrides, cow train rides, and the thrilling Belle’s Barnstormer slide. Kids can enjoy the jumping pillow, pedal carts, and corn box, while families pick the perfect pumpkin from the patch. Don’t forget to stop by the Country Market and Bakery for seasonal treats like apple cider donuts and homemade ice cream. Tickets for fall activities must be purchased online in advance.
