Forget the cleaning – spring is calling, and Henry County is ready to deliver. As the days get longer and the weather warms up, it’s the perfect time to get outside, try something new, and make the most of the season.

From lively festivals and high-energy events to fresh-picked strawberries and outdoor adventures, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy spring in Henry County. Here’s your guide to making the most of it all.

Celebrate the Season

Spring in Henry County means festival season is in full bloom, bringing the community together with music, food, and unforgettable experiences.

Kick things off in Downtown Hampton at the Yellow Pollen Street Festival, where local vendors, live music, and a vibrant kids zone create the ultimate springtime atmosphere. It’s the kind of event where you can stroll, snack, and soak up the sunshine all in one place.

Over in Locust Grove, Locust Grove Day offers a full day of celebration, starting with a morning parade along Hwy 42. The fun continues with an arts and crafts festival before wrapping up with a street dance and a fireworks show that lights up the night.

Looking for something a little louder? Head to EchoPark Speedway for Monster Jam 2026, where massive trucks take on gravity-defying stunts, thrilling races, and freestyle competitions. While you’re there, don’t miss the Georgia Spring State Fair, packed with classic rides, midway games, live entertainment, and all your favorite fair foods.

Truck enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Atlanta Truck Invasion, also at EchoPark Speedway. With custom builds, lifted trucks, and eye-catching designs, it’s a full day of horsepower and high-energy fun.

Get Outside and Explore

If you’re ready to slow things down and enjoy the natural side of spring, Henry County has plenty of ways to get outdoors.

Spend a Saturday morning at the Cubihatcha Outdoor Education Center, open from March 7 through May 30. Whether you’re picnicking under a gazebo, birdwatching, or walking the scenic trails, it’s a peaceful way to reconnect with nature (just note it’s closed Easter and Mother’s Day weekend).

For a taste of local flavor, visit the Locust Grove Farmers Market, held on the second Saturday of each month from April through October. Wander through historic downtown while shopping fresh produce, handmade goods, and locally crafted favorites.

If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, take to the skies with Ride Saturdays at the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation. Climb aboard a restored Vietnam-era Huey or Cobra helicopter and hear firsthand stories from veteran pilots as you soar above Henry County. Upcoming ride days include May 23 and June 20.

Prefer your engines on the ground? Make your way to Monday Night Cruise at Summit Racing Equipment, where car lovers gather each week to showcase everything from classic hot rods to modern builds. It’s a laid-back, come-and-go event that’s all about community and a shared love for cars.

Taste the Season

No spring adventure is complete without something sweet, and Henry County delivers.

At Southern Belle Farm, strawberry season is officially here, and the fields are ready for picking. Fill your basket with fresh berries, but don’t forget to save room for the real treat: strawberry ice cream, Mimi’s famous pound cake, and other delicious finds inside the Country Market.

And if you find yourself wondering what’s for dinner, let Tasty Tuesdays in Stockbridge take care of it. Held at Clark Community Park throughout the summer, this weekly event features a rotating lineup of food trucks serving up everything from savory bites to sweet treats.

Make the Most of Spring

Whether you’re planning a weekend outing, looking for your next event, or just searching for a reason to get outside, Henry County has something waiting for you this season.

So skip the spring cleaning (it’ll still be there later) and start exploring – because spring in Henry County is truly Better Explored.
