With its location only 30 minutes south of Atlanta and 45 minutes north of Macon on I-75, Henry County is positioned within a two hour drive (or flight) of 80% of the U.S. In addition to its prime location, plentiful restaurants and affordable accommodations, Henry County maintains facilities equipped for a variety of tournaments.
Baseball/Softball
Since 2010 Henry County has hosted the “Largest Single Weekend Amateur Baseball Tournament in the US” with more than 400 teams participating in the USSSA Atlanta Select30 Super NIT each March. This is one of more than 30 baseball and softball tournaments held in Henry County each year.
Baseball Tournament parks
In addition to these designated tournament parks, Henry County Parks and Recreation maintains 54 additional baseball fields that can be used for larger tournaments.
Soccer
While baseball and softball are the most prolific tournaments, Henry County also boasts a 14-field soccer complex at North Mt. Carmel Park. The annual Atlanta Peach Classic is held at this facility each May with more than 100 teams participating.
Disc Golf
A championship-caliber disc golf course at J.P. Moseley Park caters to all skill levels and is perfect for both casual and competitive play.
Golf
For the traditional golf tournament, Henry County has six golf courses available for both corporate and fundraising tournaments. Eagles Landing Country Club, Heron Bay Golf Club and Georgia National Golf Club are all private courses open to the public only for tournaments. Crystal Lake Golf and Country Club is semi-private, but allow non-members to play.
