Award Nominations

Each year Visit Henry County, GA (CVB) recognizes excellence by presenting awards to hospitality partners and volunteers chosen for their support of CVB initiatives. Visit Henry County, GA will recognize hospitality professionals and volunteers who exemplify commitment, service, and dedication to the tourism industry. These awards celebrate an exemplary staff member, business or volunteer who stands out for service to guests, co-workers and the community.

Nominations are open for the 2024 Visit Henry County, GA Hospitality Awards:

Hospitality Business of the Year –This award is given to a partner whose service exemplifies tourism engagement and creates a sense of hospitality for Henry County visitors. Recipient must have compiled a long-standing record of service in the hospitality industry and be a current hospitality partner of Visit Henry County, GA. Recipient must embody the CVB’s mission and show a commitment to active Visit Henry County, GA partnership and programs.

Hospitality Employee of the Year –This award gives special thanks and recognition to an outstanding hospitality worker working on the front lines such as a server, bartender, hostess, cashier, or hotel front desk clerk.

The person submitting the application must hold a senior management position with the employer
Nominees must be front-line/non-managerial workers.
Nominees can be from a hotel, restaurant, event facility, retail location or attraction.
Members of the Visit Henry County, GA Staff and Board of Directors reserve the right to interview nominee’s colleagues or superiors for additional information.
Both employer and winner agree to publicity, including photos, interviews and social media posts.
If no nominations are received, or if proper support is not provided to support the nominations, no award will be given.

Unsung Hospitality Hero Award –This award gives special thanks and recognition to an outstanding hospitality employee working in back of house positions such as in the kitchen or as housekeeping staff.

The person submitting the application must hold a senior management position with the employer.
Nominees must be back of house/non-managerial workers.
Nominees can be from a hotel, restaurant, event facility, retail location or attraction.
Members of the Visit Henry County, GA Staff and Board of Directors reserve the right to interview nominee’s colleagues or superiors for additional information.
Both employer and winner agree to publicity, including photos, interviews and social media posts.
If no nominations are received, or if proper support is not provided to support the nominations, no award will be given.

Volunteer of the Year –Recognizes an outstanding person who has given significantly of his or her time and expertise in support of Visit Henry County, GA and its initiatives. Recipient must be recognized as a role model for other volunteers, having made a marked improvement to the organization because of their volunteer effort.

Awards will be presented on March 13, 2024. Award winners will be selected from the nominations by the Visit Henry County, GA Board of Directors.
