New Reeves Creek Trail

Memorial Park

106 Jennings Way, Stockbridge, GA 30281

Spend an afternoon relaxing under the warm Georgia sun or getting active on the Reeves Creek Trail* with family when you visit Memorial Park in Stockbridge, GA. Memorial Park offers a spacious area for your kids to play with a number of features and activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Getting Active at Memorial Park

If you’re looking for a place for your kids to stretch their legs and get some exercise, visit Memorial Park. The park offers three playground areas featuring swings, slides, jungle gyms and other recreational equipment for your children to play on. The park also offers an inclusive, special needs playground, so every child can join in on the fun.

Have an athlete in the family? Make your way to the outdoor basketball court to shoot hoops with your kids or play a full-court game with friends and family. If basketball isn’t your sport, keep active by walking or jogging on the park’s outdoor track.

Explore more of Memorial Park on a wilderness retreat along the 3-mile Reeves Creek Trail, which winds through the park to Reeves Creek. You and your family can walk, run, bike and even roller blade along the scenic trail that can be accessed from either Memorial Park or Flippen Road. If you access the trail at the Flippen Road entrance, make sure to bring an old book and exchange it for one you haven’t read at the Little Free Library.

The trail is great for animal lovers, too. Bring your dog for a walk on the Reeves Creek Trail and easily dispose of your pet’s waste at one of the waste receptacles.

Memorial Park for Your Next Group Event

An afternoon of play calls for burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Find two picnic pavilions and a gazebo space at Memorial Park for your afternoon lunch with family and friends. Bring along your favorite sides and salads and cook on one of the park’s available grilling stations. Planning for a larger celebration? Reserve a pavilion or the gazebo. Handicap-accessible bathrooms and power outlets will make the afternoon picnic even more convenient for all.

Call the Henry County Convention & Visitors Bureau at (770) 692-7954 or use our convenient online form for more information about Memorial Park and other Henry County parks.

*Reeves Creek Trail is closed on both sides, as the city is currently expanding the parking lot at the Flippen Road trailhead to add additional parking spaces.  This work is due to be completed November 27, 2020.
