The Carr-B-Que’s name came from a family moment long before it appeared on the restaurant’s sign. Jeff and Ethelia’s niece once asked them to “put some of that Carr-B-Que’s sauce on my food,” referring to the couple’s homemade barbecue sauce. The nickname stuck and eventually became the perfect name for their restaurant.
