Alea Hurst is an Atlanta-born artist whose creative practice focuses on two-dimensional works ranging from traditional drawing and painting to experimental mixed-media compositions. After discovering her passion for art in high school, Alea pursued both creative and business studies, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Georgia in 2013, followed by a Master of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2018.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and venues including Arch Enemy Arts, ABV Gallery, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and Mason Murer Fine Art’s Fresh Blood exhibition. Alea’s artwork has also been featured in multiple publications, acquired by the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, and recognized through honors such as the 2021 Spruill Gallery Amplify mural award.
Through a balance of technical skill and experimental exploration, Alea continues to create visually compelling works that blend contemporary approaches with layered storytelling and expressive imagery.
